Meet our Staff

Pastor David Palomaki

Pastor David Palomaki has served Redeemer and Immanuel Lutheran Churches since 1987. His wife, Peggy, serves as the head organist for the parish. They have been married for over 40 years and have three grown children. Besides his parish work, Pastor enjoys swimming, biking, walking, and camping. Having spent his school years in northern Minnesota, his favorite sports team remains the Minnesota Twins. His favorite sporting event is the Olympics. Pastor has served as Archivist for the Nebraska District LCMS for over 30 years. His area of special interest is Reformation history. His favorite Bible verse is one of the main themes of the Reformation: "The Word of the Lord stands forever." (1 Peter 1:25)

Preschool Director

Jennifer Wood

Jennifer Wood - I am a Seward native and long-time member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church of Staplehurst, NE. I began my career at Redeemer Lutheran Preschool in the fall of 2020 as the lead teacher. In fall of 2021 I took on the role of preschool director. I am a graduate of Southeast Community College with an Associate of Arts degree and currently enrolled at the University of Kearney to obtain my bachelor's degree & teaching certificate in All-Inclusive Early Childhood Education. I bring a wide variety of experience from working with preschool-age to youth-age children throughout the last 13 years.

Preschool Staff

Charlotte Tebbe - Has been with Redeemer Lutheran Preschool for 19 years. Charlotte helps out at our preschool on Tuesdays & Thursdays. She enjoys teaching our story time and worship lessons on those days. This year she will include teaching a musical worship lesson!

Erika Rolf - Is new this year to Redeemer Preschool. Erika will fill in as a substitute teacher as needed throughout the year! She is a Concordia graduate with a teaching certification in Elementary Education. She enjoys working with children and subbing for Lutheran school in both long and short term settings!

Office Secretary

Katherine Benes - Has been serving as the Office Secretary since the fall of 2020. She spends two afternoons a week serving in the church office. Katherine enjoys reading, cross-stitching and spending time outdoors with her family.
